As a non American; every other week I hear about an American dignitary whose existence I have no prior knowledge of. Its like they just keep manufacturing guys in the War Crime factory and everyones like no trust me hes always existed. He carpetbombed Iraq in the 80s.

If you really care about preventing government tyranny your #1 priority must be making sure criminals have rights.

And that’s not a joke or an exaggeration.

If criminals don’t have rights, then all the government has to do is to find Some excuse to label people as criminals, and those people will no longer have rights.
It’s what literally every tyrannical government in all of history has done.

If you believe that people who break the law should forfeit their rights, you’re literally as pro-tyranny as a person can get.
