it turns out that these rumors are based in fact but, in the manner of rumors, are an exaggeration, an embellishment - someone does indeed have one of her dad's bows, but it's a real one, and it turns out it's someone sohna knows well but hasn't seen in a few years. :)

sohna doesn't explicitly or consciously seek arrows that match her hair, but it happens from time to time and she's delighted whenever she realizes.

rumors of someone in town with a bootleg of one of her (deceased) dad's bows is what brings her to griddles at the start of msq.

growing up in a family of artisans who made/sold arms (bows and lances) to gridanians, sohna knows their way well around fletching and making arrows. bows, too, when it comes to it. they have an excellent eye for quality and deep disdain for people who try to sell inferior items at a high price.

i was still a baby sprout i was near the archers' guild when i realized that sohna's hair, gray with blonde highlights, braided, matched the fletching in one of the low-level bows' quivers.

it is among my favorites of their many charm points and was wholly unintentional.
