I was on my trip when this was posted, and just finally spotted it now. Pertinent to many interests.
I started this project twelve years ago, and today I hold the result in my hand. It’s a book that combines bead weaving with math called, “Beading with Algorithms: Cellular Automata in Peyote Stitch.”

This book is the first of its kind, a recipe book of algorithms for making pixel art.

'You know, at your latitude, the winter sun is never direct enough to produce Vitamin D,' someone said / I saw somewhere, before my trip, and I sorta gently rolled my eyes.

I'm not so sure now, because the gulf between pre-trip brain and post-trip brain is... unexpectedly large.
