I would rather have a world where we all trust each other and accept that a few people will take advantage of it than a world where folks have to perform disability constantly in order to get the help they need. Let kids have an extra 30 minutes on the test, jesus fucking christ

Hi, grad degree in education here. Just make the tests shorter (doesn’t have to mean easier) or make the test period longer. Stress is not a measure of knowledge. Make sure everyone is able to finish it so you can adequately evaluate their learning.
The last person I want to hear from about how disability accommodations "have gone too far" in higher ed are a bunch of privileged able-bodied journalists who cannot see the forest for the trees, but also are feeding the omnipresent ableism disabled people face with this crap.
I don't think people realize how much the use of academic disability accommodations has exploded over the past decade—especially at the most elite schools. More than 20 percent of Harvard and Stanford students apparently receive some form of accommodation:

All the organizations I’ve worked for have sent „entrapment“ emails, pretending to be a scammer, and if you to click on a link, a message says „you could have been scammed if this were a scam!“.
Is there evidence that these reduce scam frequency or are they just IT mansplaining excuses?
