Why would Trump be so desperate to halt SNAP benefits? My only guess is that political violence tends to increase under food shortages, and he wants an excuse for further crackdowns. Starving 10% of the population sets a tinderbox, and Trump keeps pouring gasoline with ICE conflicts, matter of time.

1 One tragedy of transition and historically gay relationships is the loss of family to pass down history. Most survivors of the holocaust were able to have children and remember the tragedy to help fight against it in the future. Very few trans and gay folks survived, but even fewer had children.

I'm honestly terrified of what the right will use this as justification for. They're itching to engage in violence against their enemies and this will give them the excuse to do so. This is why political violence is never acceptable. It just descends into uncontrollable chaos and more violence.
