I've had a couple of drinks, so here's my unfiltered thoughts. My trans friends rule, and the 'reasonable' transphobes that have popped up once or twice on my timeline can just fuck off and die.

I think it says a lot about how our attitude to welfare has changed that the Christmas Bonus was brought in by Barbara Castle so that even the poorest families could afford a turkey and a few presents and now removing it would prompt protests and rising it would give the Telegraph an aneurism.
Remember, the UK is a country which has been paying a £10 Christmas bonus to pensioners since the 1970s, and yes, it was £10 in the 1970s and is still £10 today, and no, obviously it would be political suicide to take this increasingly meaningless sum away.

Never lose sight of the fact that this is an orchestrated campaign by a rich, white minority of anti-science, anti-feminist folks to eradicate one group of women, and subjugate every other in time. #transrightsarehumanrights

Considering Streeting's well stated belief autism, ADHD etc, along with mental health issues, are "overdiagnosed", I won't hold my breath for this doing anything other than being used to cut support, along with opportunities for diagnosis, for people who need it. #r4today

Hegseth would not turn over his phone, a source who read the report told MS NOW.
Breaking on MS NOW: The Signalgate report contradicts Pete Hegseth's claims he did nothing wrong. It shows he "violated policy by using a non-approved device," a source who read the report says.

Hegseth failed to preserve records. The report says he put the operations and service people at risk.

#HorrorWritersChat Q3

This one is going to be hard.

One of the last things Matt asked us at Horror Writers Chat was to share a horror writing related dream.

This can be;
> an actual dream that inspired you.
> a dream you have for your writing career.

Interpret this any way you’d like.

The US government

- is run by a man found civilly liable for rape and accused of MANY others
- wages war on cis women's reproductive rights and trans women's existence
- is run by men - and influenced by other men - who ultimately want women to be franchiseless, subservient baby cannons

SO...NO.

Yeah, the actual principles they have are all oriented around in-group and out-group formation. Members of the in-group can have any sin of theirs excused so long as they do not commit the cardinal transgression of sympathizing with, assisting, or somehow *becoming* one of the out-group.
