"They" be like... "vanity fair photographers omg"

Let me tell you something... Vanity Fair employs some of the greatest photographers in the EARTH

This is to say...

Thank you Vanity Fair for capturing the hollowed husks and pustulating sores that is the Trump administration

i was especially struck by these paragraphs, which rang very true to me. libs who grew up around conservatives aren't embarrassed to be liberals--or confused about what conservatives want. there's a certain kind of elite media man, on the other hand--

One of the reasons it's important to depersonalize politics, at least in terms of your targets, and just emphasize the facts on the ground and your power, or lack thereof, over them is that the powerful decision makers are also human and therefore nonsensical bags of meat and motivated reasoning.

Gullah-Geechee descendants on Sapelo Island may be facing a massive property tax increase that could open the doors for developers to turn the island into a vacation spot for the rich

A meeting for property owners to give feedback is scheduled for today

The effort to reassess the Hogg Hummock property is the latest move that could force Gullah-Geechee descendants from Georgia island.

I'm accompanying a neighbor in eviction court this morning.
His cell phone just rang. Loudly. The most obnoxious ring tone ever. It won't turn off.
Now the judge is speaking to him about it, and he called her "sweetie" in response.

there is really no difference between the current administration and having the country run by david duke
On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

[email protected] : Were you satisfied with the answers you’ve gotten so far in this classified briefing on Venezuela?

AOC: Oh, hell no. It was a joke. This was not a serious intelligence briefing. This was the communication of an opinion.

The war on Christmas
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

This is a photo from the Vanity Fair article. Notice how they have to arrange it so Stephen Miller is on the end, so it isn’t obvious that there is no reflection of him on the mirrored table.🧛

Live large, write as you wish, but be cautious with relative pronouns.
Jane Austen used 'however' at the beginning of a sentence, and so can you.

This man's soul has slowly withered away for years on end now.
Vance: "Why have rents gone down for 4 consecutive months? Because we're starting to get those illegal aliens out of the USA. Those criminals, those gang members, those people that are taking homes that ought by right go the people in this room. It's simple economics."

Someone should ask him what day and year it is.
Q: A number of Republicans have denounced your statement on Rob Reiner. Do you stand by it?

TRUMP: Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned.

ultimately, no one even grieved Charlie Kirk. he was just another thing for the worst people on earth to get outraged over. and when the outrage of real events wasn't enough, they invented new ones.

not even his wife saw his death as anything other than an opportunity.
my read is they were trying to whip up the usual frenzy, but then the effort got blown up by Candace Owens saying The Jews did it
It’s kind of incredible how little has been published about this guy and how little conservatives seem to care. Did people just forget these people were screeching for civil war when they thought he was a liberal?

25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.
