I’m not much for writing political songs. I often end up feeling like they’re pale imitations of songwriters I admire. But as I scrolled and stewed, silence became a greater offense than imperfection.

Made it across the country and back with my wheelchair-bound dad this weekend with no flight cancellations, one inconsequential 45 minute delay, lots of friendly faces and two(!) unexpected and unwarranted crotch pat-downs. All in all I’d say it was a successful trip (minus the crotch stuff)

You guys. I’m a hundred years late to the party, but how come no one told me how freaking good Dracula (the original novel) is? I’m halfway through and it completely holds up as an exciting read. (I do have some notes on Stoker’s writing of women, so maybe not completely. But still.)
