If this wasn't Sunder, I'd have dismissed it as fake news!
Ukip have submitted a new logo and slogan to the Electoral Commission, swapping the Β£ pound sterling symbol for a cross, that looks very much like it is modelled on the Iron Cross used by Prussia & Germany 1871-1918 and Hitler's Nazi regime from 1933-45

There are now at least 365 UK MPs with accounts on Bluesky – more than half (56%) of all MPs

πŸ”΄ This includes nearly 70% of Labour MPs
πŸ”Ά Nearly 90% of Lib Dem MPs
🟒 All the 4 Green MPs

πŸ”΅ But only 5% of Conservative MPs
➑️ No Reform MPs
More MPs are coming off X and I assume that means they will be posting more on here

@politicshome.bsky.social has a handy list of all the MPs on Bluesky

Please point out anyone who is missing!

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.

Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.

The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
JUST NOW: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.

If a Pakistani Muslim owned X, distributed indecent images of girls on a platform where govt do their PR, where some receive payments for posts, they would have distanced themselves by now. X would be shutdown and Braverman and Farage would be calling for a ban and investigation into Pakistani men.

NEW: Data released by ICE shows that virtually the entire growth of detention in the last few months has been among people with no criminal record at all - no prior convictions (no matter how minor) and no pending criminal charges.

On the statement itself, X is not like The Sun or The Express - it's not a newspaper with journalists who need to maintain a boundary to keep their career options alive. It's a network owned by a white supremacist foreigner, with an algorithm that promotes far-right and misogynist content.

WH sources say Venezuela's opposition leader committed the "ultimate sin": She accepted the Nobel Peace prize.

β€œIf she had turned it down and said, β€˜I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” one said.

So identity has trumped economics which in turn has created a self-fulfilling vicious cycle.

Brexit makes you sovereign. This makes the UK poorer. This reinforces social tensions. Social tensions reinforce identities. Hey presto civil war…

Basically, a 20 year doom loop of wasted energy.

Like if you only announced your cabinet reshuffles on Bluesky Harry bloody Cole wouldn't make an account to read about it.

One of the unacknowledged advantages of this awful era is that it's revealing for all to see the putrid connections between great wealth and great power.

The intentions of the oligarchs are fully exposed and more blatant than ever.

But remember: We outnumber the oligarchs.

this seems specifically designed to break mail-in voting (where deadlines are defined by postmark)
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

A quick google informs me that after this surge, Australia provides about 4% of our beef imports, and our beef imports are about 25% of our consumption. So this headline is basically saying β€œanger as 0.6% becomes 1% of total” and I’m not sure that’s particularly justifiable
