I don't know what to call it, but there is a very common and annoying social media phenomenon where people demand validation for mildly antisocial behaviour, instead of just feeling mildly guilty about it like a normal person.
These are pretty naked -- and therefore instructive -- examples of the sorts of defenses that people offer to try and get off the hook

Ohio State has played a grand total of two teams with a good defense (Texas and Washington) and they managed to score 14 and 24 points against them, respectively.
By most measures, Michigan's defense is better than both of those teams.

one of the things about being a doctorb is that you still get the "Jesus it's the day before Thanksgiving, I really don't want to work" thing but you can't not work because everyone who actually has today off has made appointments to bring their dirt bag teenage sons in for their well visit
