White Americans already know it's ok to be racist JD Vance, and apparently it's ok to marry a woman in brown skin, and be a racist, more it's ok, to have brown skin children and still be racist, have sex with POC, and be racist, and marry people of POC, and be racist, bc racism is a mental illness

I've been surprised at how much the destruction of the East wing has pissed me off. I get furious when I see the pictures. Fuck anyone (looking at you especially, Douthat) who makes excuses for this madness.
FDR remembered this. His latest successor doesn't understand what it means. Any of it.

The War on Science, ed. Lawrence Krauss, documents an imaginary "war on science" from the left in order to justify an entirely real war on science from the right.

I suspect the MAGA government decided to launch all these Bluesky accounts tonight to try to bait people in advance of No Kings.

These people have incurable 4chan brain and this is how they operate.

Block them. Do not engage. Do not give them what they want.

This is very good and reminds me of a point I always make when people say you can’t shame people out of being bigots. You can’t, but you can make them behave better by not creating a culture of permissiveness when they do
"Common decency stigmatizes people that do not participate in it—removes them from voluntary association. We indeed have to live with one another, but terms and conditions apply."

being trans is awesome and trans people are amazing and gender is a dumb box and anyone who makes their own crowbar to smash it from inside is a hero actually.

I wrote about what I think is a genuinely revealing document of elite depravity and impunity. It is shocking and sickening. But it's also a crucial moment. We're about to see what happens when conspiracy theorists actually get what they asked for but it turns out not to be what they want.
You Really Need to See Epstein’s Birthday Book for Yourself
This time, the conspiracy theorists were right.

For people that think this couldnt be- in mi and Detroit, business leaders literally decided they wanted particular places for their own (see: mackinaw island as one they claimed and belle isle as one they tried but failed to claim) and actively used resources of the state to do claim them.
Removing people from public life is naturally going to lead to less consumption. Business leaders are willing to support this because they find those customers undesirable and believe the social benefits to removing them outweigh the cost to the bottom line.

'Incoherent' immunity decision renders 'Constitution itself unconstitutional': Akhil Reed Amar
The Supreme Court this week severely undermined the principle that no one is above the law – a bedrock of our nation’s system of government – with its historic ruling declaring that presidents have absolute immunity for their official acts. In her fierce dissent, Justice Sotomayor accused the conservative majority of making the president a "king above the law." Eminent legal scholar and one of the most cited by SCOTUS, Yale’s Akhil Reed Amar, joins Ali Velshi to discuss the far-reaching implications of this seismic decision. Not mincing words, he calls it “one of the worst decisions in all of constitutional history.” It’s “not just in violation of the Constitution,” says Amar, “but also incoherent.” » Subscribe to MSNBC: https://www.youtube.com/msnbc Download our new MSNBC app for the latest breaking news and daily headlines at a glance: https://www.msnbc.com/information/download-msnbc-app-n1241692 Follow MSNBC Show Blogs MaddowBlog: https://www.msnbc.com/maddowblog ReidOut Blog: https://www.msnbc.com/reidoutblog MSNBC delivers breaking news, in-depth analysis of politics headlines, as well as commentary and informed perspectives.
