ER doc here! There is no such thing as “an ER model” hospital. An ER w/o a hospital is like a bandaid on a bullet hole. What if you need surgery? Cardiac cath? Specialist care? Increased distance means delays, which mean real harms & even deaths. But, also, when hospitals close their ERs close, too…

Hospital closures also means less preventative care because most rural hospitals also host primary care services, labs, vaccine clinics, cancer screenings…all the things you need to prevent more serious illness.

While I've almost checked out of the D&D world, I find full product offering deep dive research FASCINATING (don't ask me how many YouTube holes I've fallen into about drinks ok). It is wild to think that you can just...know everything about a product line, but here it is and here we are. Very cool.
