The BBC has bigger impartiality problems than its coverage of Trump

My god. If only @arusbridger.bsky.social was a BBC director instead of Robbie Gibb. The whole country would be in a much better state

The BBC has bigger impartiality problems than its coverage of Trump
It is the BBC’s entire governance structure–rather than individual stories–that should cause most concern

How the BBC kowtowed to Boris Johnson. Amazing that, even though we now know what a corrupt, mendacious, useless Prime Minister Johnson was, the BBC are kowtowing to him again

The BBC should serve as an example to all that there is nothing you can give the far rabid right that will satisfy it.

It has simpered, pandered, soft-balled and fluff-jobbed, both-sidesed and debased itself into being a platform for liars to look down the camera and lie on, & it still gets fucked.

UK leaders/politicians/press rubbished and railed for decades against the thing EU citizens believe is the most important strength of the EU, thought they could easily replicate the thing in second place, and never mentioned the 3rd most important aspect - solidarity with other member states.
Just going through some new Eurobarometer findings that have just been posted by EUC.
And thinking of this thread again with that "s" word that (some/many) Britons don't want to hear about coming up again in position #3 🙂

I'd say it's because our media & press platform them constantly, normalising their extreme views, & our govt does absolutely NOTHING to curb them, they even parrot them.

But ultimately, people are fed up with #Labour & #Tories lies & are falling for the lies #Reform promise instead! 🙄

This. A thousand times this.

Print it on posters and flyers. Pin it above the desk of every pro-democracy politician, staffer and strategist. Make memes and insta stories of it. Do Tik-Tok dance routines to it. Use it as a rallying cry and make it the accepted norm, not a lost epitaph of failure.
This is yet another example of how you beat the far right. By beating them, not trying to be them. By having your own agenda, not aping theirs. With courage and conviction - and humour - not fear and timidity.
