i read this over the past 2 weeks and the story is SO engrossing from the very start! Obviously already a fan of the art and now invested in the characters and their interactions. Many pages had me sitting in shock and/or awe (especially some of Constant’s behavior lmao i love him) It’s very good! 🙌

A discord server I'm in had a little spooky zine for halloween with theme "Metamorphosis - Becoming anew". It's a little rushed (because I came up with the story like. Two days before deadline. Oops) but I'm still pretty happy with the idea and that I managed to make it!

One comic for isterik week done in the style of Jucika. Truly and honestly my finest work.

A three panel comic in the style of Jucika by Pál Pusztai (1957-1970) depicting Istvan Toth and Erik from Kingdom Come Deliverance. In the first panel, Istvan has his hands on his hips and is peering down at a puddle of blood with disgust. He is lifting one foot (notably, wearing heeled shoes to look like Jucika) away from the mess in front of him. Erik is off to the side, spattered with blood and carrying a corpse over one shoulder. He is looking over his shoulder with sympathy for Istvan's predicament. In the second panel, Erik is hefting the corpse from his shoulder onto the bloody puddle. Istvan looks on with a surprised expression. In the third panel, Erik helps Istvan cross the puddle using the corpse as a stepping stone. Istvan's pose is feminine and alluring, his expression pleased as a cat with a bowl of cream. Erik is smiling and bowing slightly, his entire face red with blush.

the swamp of despair (from 2018)

A graph titled “The Creative Process” showing a cute pumpkin girl going through stages of making something. She starts out high up, “I just had the best idea!!!” and starts sliding down a hill “this isnt as simple as I expected.” She winds up in The Swamp of Despair (two skulls say: “this part sucks! don’t give up!”) She says, “this sucks, I suck. Why am I wasting my time.” She crawls her way out of the swamp “it’s not perfect but I’m going to finish” and crests the final hill, “it’s done??? I lived???” Finally, she walks away from it all, glittering with pride. “This turned out pretty good!”

Self-publishing is a power, it's a gift. You can put whatever you want into your little 'zines and minicomics, absolutely nobody can tell you no. Tell your story, don't worry if it's "good enough", make it anyway.
