The basically-unknown union action that is illegal all over the world and yet incredibly popular when workers decide to do it anyway (illegally.)

Here's what it is and why I think @zackpolanski.bsky.social and @greenparty.org.uk should add it to their manifesto...

Fascinating! Fits gut political instincts, but nice to see confirmed by data and more detailed analysis
Short new post from me about Bloc Politics. A lot of commentators have argued, with evidence from @profjanegreen.bsky.social, @robfordmancs.bsky.social and others, that British politics has split into blocs. So what does that mean for electoral strategy? 1/n

32% of Brits think Santa would vote for the Greens under @zackpolanski.bsky.social.

Pretty sweet endorsement.

He joins 100k+ others who used to like red and now prefer green.

So many bad-faith attacks on Zack Polanski.

His own partner works in palliative care!

About a third of carers are migrants.

Among other things, Labour has banned them from bringing their partners and kids here.

Labour pretending to care about them is nauseating.

I've met a lot of inspiring and talented activists in the Green Party and especially in Greens organise. Our Greens Organise Co-Chair Hau-Yu is right up there with the best of them.

Give her a follow and give this a listen.
I was interviewed by The New Party Podcast on the histories and conditions which led to @greensorganise.bsky.social, our shared vision and aims. How we're organising to get everyone there collectively, as well as to prevent rightward drift when we get into power

While I think most literate people can be insightful and articulate in text form, if given enough time to collect their thoughts, it is a rare talent to be able to do that verbally, in real time, while responding to interruptions, hostile jibes or pointed questions and STILL get your point across.

Yes it's the moral and truthful position, but even on cold-blooded electoralism, going for the pro/neutral on migration vote is *far* more sensible.

Four(!) parties competing for the ~55% who say it's a most important issue to them. Greens under @zackpolanski.bsky.social the only party for the 45%
Zack Polanski, "Labour are a government of cowards because you won't tell people the truth about migration"

"Migration is a positive thing for our country"

"We need migration"

"We need fair and managed migration"

"And that's what will change this conversation"

Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

Starmer doesn't realise that the Tories could actually recover one day. Reform’s base is inherently unstable and right wing voters are shockingly forgiving.

The left won’t forget. The Green Party under @zackpolanski.bsky.social is far more coherent and fully democratic. When Labour dies it’s dead.
November 18, 2025 at 7:38 AM
I can’t believe we’re living through the deaths of *both* the major UK parties.

If Starmer had stood on a progressive platform we would have had 3 Labour terms minimum, as Tories and Reform split the right for the first time.

Instead he joined them on the crowded right.

We’re not coming back.
Cruel. Callous. Cowardly.

The public are seeing this Labour government for exactly who they are.

We all have a responsibility to make them pay at the ballot box.

Reject the hate. Reject them.

This is not who we are. Let's make hope normal again.

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

This is a new low from a govt plumbing the depths of performative cruelty in hopes that the public won’t notice they have no answers to the real issues facing this country

A sensible, humane govt would focus on safe routes to prevent people making dangerous small boat crossings
November 17, 2025 at 10:14 AM
How Starmer started vs how it’s going now.

Pointlessly disgusting. The left will never trust Labour again.

It won’t win over people obsessed with migration, it only fuels Farage.

Greens are soaring because people know @zackpolanski.bsky.social defends policies he *actually* believes in.
November 17, 2025 at 7:26 PM
This is essential.

Immigration actually much less important to the public than often implied, even with the media obsessing over it.
Yesterday, we put out a report on the most important issues to voters.

We know that immigration now tops the traditional most important issues question (see below from @yougov.co.uk).

But that doesn't tell the full story.

Here is a rundown of the experiments we did to test this out (A THREAD):

Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

Greens jump from third to first.

This is why the pressure to vote tactically in FPTP is so utterly shit.

LDs and Lab screech that you *have to* vote them or get reform.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social was right when he said Starmer has no right to that line when he could run the next election under PR.

The third journalist in recent days to specifically note that Zack does this weird thing in interviews where he… answers their questions? 🧐

Many journalists will not agree with his politics but I bet we’ll be seeing him more and more. They're desperate to have real conversations for once
Cheers!

We don't have to agree on absolutely everything.

But want lower bills? Think billionaires should pay more tax?

Reform peaked 4 years too soon.

By 2029 they will unravel and be fully exposed as the janky, Tory 2.0 party that they are.

Thanks for helping expose Labour and fertilising the Green bloom though x

Absolute genius strategy. No way that could backfire…

Unless, say, the greens started polling ahead of Labour and became the new tactical vote against Reform.

But nah. Who could imagine that?!

Emperor’s New Clothes moment about to happen in British politics. All major parties follow the same, non-answer approach.

All gonna fall apart when people get to see somebody who talks like a normal human and *actually* wants to fight for the majority.
