Finally finished an extensive rewrite of my screenplay called APPREHENSION, a psychological horror thriller that holds a special place because it was the first I felt I was ready to get some feedback on.
The only motivation of AI evangelicals is the opportunity to not pay people anymore.

That’s it.

It’s not about innovation or progress.

It’s just a cost-cutting attempt.

Absolute must read on the AI bailout-in-progress: apparently it's not enough that lifetimes of human ingenuity and creativity have been stolen and enclosed to create generative AI and balloon billionaire wealth - much more public looting is in store...
This week Open AI walked back a call for the govt to backstop financing for its trillion dollar investments in data centers. This was only the tip of the iceberg; a slow bailout for AI firms is already underway. Read more from @ambakak.bsky.social and I in @wsj.com: www.wsj.com/opinion/you-...

If only our society took major crimes by rich people as seriously as minor crimes by poor people. Ideally more seriously. But as seriously would be a big improvement.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Psychological and supernatural horror are my sweet spot.

Ex Machina (not horror, but the first film that made me want to read a script) shaped how I write characters.
The Shining is the other big one. I basically want readers to feel as insane as Jack by the end of my scripts.

First, let's introduce ourselves and share the horror subgenres we write in.

Now, what are we watching?

Share the two movies/films that have inspired your writing or that capture the vibes of your work.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

I will continue to stand up to authoritarianism and call this out for what it is: a political prosecution.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 18181999:
"Write what you know" is limiting advice, which leads to limited writing. Instead, know what you're writing about. That means due diligence: good research, wide reading, specialist help and advice if you need it. Stay curious. Try new ideas. No limits.

Remember when we said they’d do this and they called us hysterical? And then they moved the goalposts and said it was actually reasonable to leave it up to the states and we said they wouldn’t stop there and then they continued to call us hysterical but we were right the entire fucking time?

When Nolan took over Batman, I don’t remember people wondering: ‘’hey, where are the nipples and the telescope in the middle of the city?’’

It’s a character. Played by several actors before. They should just focus on giving us a killer spy story. #FilmSky
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

The 2008 recession taught the wealthy, and the politicians they buy, that a whole lot of people would thank them for the largest transfer of wealth from the bottom 70% to the top 5% in US history. Why wouldn’t they try it again?
This is insane. This is *literally* doing the same mechanics of the housing crisis and 2008 recession but to create debt to finance construction of AI data centers
