BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

We are told: the product now has Gemini. We added Rufus. You can talk to Bixby. We've integrated Alice. Chat with Poob. Log on to Poob right now. Poob has it for you. Poob has it for you. Poob has it for you.

We are never told "so what." Even the teams working on these products don't know anymore.
When teams don't understand their own product
A usable product starts with the conceptual model, but designers have "optimized" that work out of the profession. It's time to bring it back.

• L’État qui accuse GrapheneOS d’être complice des criminels, ce qui est absurde à un tel niveau que c’est ahurissant ;
• Le Parisien qui relaie cette communication sans rien comprendre ;

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

Genuinely don't understand why progressive web apps aren't more popular. I get why you'd want to be in the app stores, but it seems there are increasingly diminishing returns as the web gains more "mobile native" features.
When the Trump administration demanded ICEBlock’s removal, Apple complied—no rival app stores, just one gatekeeper’s decision, explains Meher Sethi. The takedown exposed how easily government pressure can travel through Apple and Google’s app-store duopoly and the risk it poses to democracy.
No Kings, No Monopolies: How App Store Gatekeepers Enable Authoritarianism | TechPolicy.Press
Meher Sethi discusses how the app-store duopoly enables government pressure, including censorship of apps like ICEBlock, and poses growing risks to democracy.

Tim Cook, the head of Apple, is having a nice dinner with MBS, who regularly orders executions, including for tweets.

Apple hosts "a Saudi app that allows men to track the movement of their wives and daughters. In 2019, Mr. Cook said he would investigate the app, but it is still available today."
