Haha The Butterfly Effect had an "alternate ending" as an extra on the DVD.

I just really miss pop up video. The ability to unlock trivia (and bloopers!) would be fun.

I think something must have happened to my brain in the last 5 years, because I can't stomach horror like I used to.

I stopped watching sadomasochistic films like Saw and Texas Chainsaw Massacre a long time ago, but now, even sci fi horror is incredibly unsettling.

My heebs' been jeebed!

Grieving for all the friends who learned this as early as March 2020. Sobering reminder to restock my masks as soon as possible.

Brainstem damage found to be behind long-lasting effects of severe Covid-19.

"Using ultra-high-resolution scanners that can see the living brain in fine detail, researchers from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford were able to observe the damaging effects Covid-19 can have on the brain."

But I guess you could sum it up as a community. Especially in times where locally I was feeling excluded and isolated.

Friendships, some predating the algorithmic social media that exist today.

Opportunity, whether it was a job, speaking engagement, or something else.

Education, learning from some of the best and brightest in a variety of intersectional communities and interests.

Love, for better or worse. 😅

Today I learned a snail is not a slug. The shell makes the snail. Same family though.

Unicorn colors everywhere. Briefly worked for a purple AI startup. 😬

They changed their colors to orange. I think if you looked, lots of AI brands are orange now too. 😂

Why does every website look like this? Where did this come from? Is Tailwind to blame?

Last night's earworm was "Pretty Wings." Just sitting there drinking a cider playing Hades 2. I think it was something in the twinkling that happens between locations in Erebus.

Wonder if we'll ever get the NIGHT part of the BLACKsummers'night trilogy. It's been over 7 years, Maxwell! 😭

Used to think the whole "Designer who makes rectangles" bit was cheeky, but now I'm like, "Bro, some of those rectangles kill people."

I understand the impulse to try and not take ourselves too seriously but... alas, with great power comes great responsibility.

Too many people are buckling to it.
