Trans people are shocked to learn one of the prominent doctors who performs our surgeries is a scumbag. There is no precedent for this, zero other prominent surgeons are widely rumored to be unethical scum.

Nothing left but to form an orderly line to detransition.

Of course the PM doesn’t have the power to unilaterally remove Mandelson from the Lords. But given it can only be removed via an act of Parliament in government time, Starmer is hardly powerless, indeed he is the only person who can make it happen.

Should be an immediate recall & byelection when an MP's arrested for sex crimes imo, how is it safe for F constituents to be expected to engage with someone like this in order to have representation in parliament?

Every now and again I get asked, ‘but didn’t a DNA test in 2007 prove that those weren’t her remains in the cellar?’ If you have the same question, I would urge you to read @turiking.bsky.social assessment of the (problematic) findings in the white paper, in the appendix of Story of a Murder.

116 years ago today Belle Elmore went missing. Her husband, Dr Crippen told her friends, the Music Hall Ladies Guild that she had gone to America to deal with a family emergency. But she hadn’t. He’d poisoned her and buried her in the cellar. They would spend the rest of 1910 bringing him to justice

I'm not an expert on intl relations etc but if one party daily breaks the terms of a "ceasefire" and escalated these bombings so now mass civilian casualties are recorded w/increasing frequency, there are no consequences? So much bombing that stay in place orders now issued for us gazan med teams?

I've been working on this horrific story, about Matthew Pringle, the vastly wealthy businessman who tricked DJ Liv Nervo into carrying his child, and then sued her into the bargain, for several years. Very pleased finally to be able to share it with you.
Liv Nervo speaks out against the man who tricked her into pregnancy
Liv Nervo was six months pregnant when she discovered her partner had another family. When she tried to speak up, he spent years dragging her through the courts. We're helping her tell her story.

Don't just read the headline. This essay is my lengthy ode to the hard-fought, hard-won successes of the communitarian movement in the Twin Cities, which has been the scourge of fascists and put the most cracks in Trump's fascist front.

Nonviolence has achieved much, and will do more still.

Reminder that, as of the latest reports, Liam Ramos is still in prison in Texas - now for 5 days.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.
