This is all the legislature's fault btw. Always keep your hate for them burning the fiercest. It all comes back to them.

Do not extrapolate that to the people who put them there, however.

Disney/ABC have a responsibility to refuse to participate in corruption.

Kimmel must be reinstated. If Disney/ABC agree to this extortion then perhaps creatives + workers should consider collective action to push back. Same w/buying park + cruise tickets if they bow.

Ask the normie non political people in your life what percentage of the country they think is transgender and it'll blow your mind.

Whenever I tell someone trans folks make up less than 1% of the country, they look at me like I'm a conspiracy theorist.
the hysteria has gone off the rails so far that the average american thinks 1 in 5 people are transgender. pure absolute insanity that is driving the current lavender scare

The median voter isn't a pureed balance of elite centrist takes, they're somebody who has a passionate opinion about vehicle registration fees but couldn't name the current vice president.

Maybe some reporters can check how much they spent last time when they promised this. While you’re at it, check how much Foxconn spent. Narrator: It’s a press release.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

On the surface Mamdani has a strong victory over Cuomo in the NYC mayor democrat primary. In reality, Cuomo had to resign as governor in shame and scandal. The 9 percentage points is a terrible reflection of US politics.

the political lesson everyone should take from Iraq is that you will regret being in favor of this sooner or later and the earlier you were against it the better off you’ll be

Like I've said before, if you have any doubts about climate change, just go to a super-boring insurance conference and listen to the super-boring panels where they dryly talk about the growing threat of disasters so catastrophic and unpredictable in scope they simply cannot be insured at any price.
Wild how the Fed chair saying that *entire regions of the United States* won’t be able to get a mortgage in the next decade barely registered as a news event

I just listened to this episode and it is truly a head desk listen. Sahil is so clueless to how the world works and naive in his assumptions that I had to verify Gumroad is an actual company that completes it's purported objective. I'm glad he's sharing.

The radicalization of the American right is THE story of US politics over the last four decades and political reporters are still not allowed to talk about it
I am wondering why Lisa Leher from the @nytimes.com did not discuss the data that suggests political violence in the US in the current era mostly comes from the right. Seems like a strange fact to ignore. 1/ www.nytimes.com/2025/06/14/u...
