*Drum roll* Hey there, thanks for visiting my slice of the internet! My name is Rachel. I'm a video game writer & editor (with a busy day job juggle of landscaping & working within a greenhouse). My educational background is in Latin & Ancient Greek, and on occasion I can be persuaded to apply it to game dev.

This is a personal account and I will be reposting whatever sparks my interest, so be warned that this isn't an exclusively one topic kind of place. Thankfully, bluesky allows users a lot of flexibility with the use of hashtags. Just click one, and you'll have the opportunity to search for all posts with that hashtag by user AND you'll have the option to mute all posts with that marker.

today's gamejam progress s exciting because we've got... basic art in YIPPEE! obviously a long long way to go but we spent some time nailing down rules for the art style- i think you can 1000% tell that we were inspired by "consume me" for this lol

When I watched season 2 of IWTV live, I was freshly dealing with horrible grief. It was the only tv program I could focus on for the entire run time. I clung desperately to those episodes.

This is a really great point!

I love mixed tag matches in AEW, because they're the closest we'll get to intergender matches.

The one on #AEWCollision tonight was FANTASTIC. Great mix of men and women kicking ass with and against each other, as equals, and as terrors in the ring!

This is extremely accurate, and it's why I wish editors got a credit on books. Sometimes you learn who edited a bunch of your favorite books and you're like ah. I see. It's a job that requires a keen literary eye AND people skills, which is a tough mix!
