Imagine calling yourself the master race and have to resort to erasing the achievements of minorities to make yourself feel better.

It is March 2, 2025. My plan was to leave the world on March 2, 2024.

What a difference in a year. I still have bad days. But reasons to stay are easier to find each day.

Thankful for family, for friends, for library kids who ARE going to save the world. Once a library kid, always a library kid 💚

Per Dr Atul Gawande, ex USAID: “All malaria supplies protecting 53 million people, mostly children, including bed nets, diagnostics, preventive drugs, and treatments – terminated.”

There are no words that sufficiently describe this level of cruelty and sadism.

It seems there was a dinner at the WH where a military choir serenaded the orange turd and his guest with a rendition of One Day More from Les Miserables, and the ignorant fools loved it. This is what happens when you don’t read. People mock you to your face. 😹

taking black kids away from their parents and putting them on farms seems really familiar to me! what could it be?
Even the most disturbing RFK Jr. headline always manages to have a detail inside creepier than you could have imagined. I’m sorry, did you just say Black kids should have a chance to get “re-parented”???? Gift link wapo.st/4hW2xGI

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes
I don't know how to tell you this, but if we're relying on me to find my car keys at the bottom of my purse before the serial killer catches up with us - we're dead.
Do you want a pat on the back when you should have been voting no on all of them? When you should be pushing back against a fascist coup? You and your colleagues are not doing anything you were elected to do.

If you are married to someone who has ADHD and you don't, here's a phrase that might help you with your spouse: "Map it out for me."

This is what I say to my wife when she goes from one thing to a seeming non sequitur. In her mind, there is a relationship.

Papers are due next week. One of their sources is a hand written journal. Most didn't have their first draft today. Why? They can't read cursive, so they decided not to do it. I write on the whiteboard in cursive. I guess this explains why they don't take notes.
Does anyone else's coworker keep trying to take credit for your work? Eartha Kitt is always pretending my work is her own under the "If I touch it, it's mine" doctrine of feline productivity.

It's question potential jurors for a trial or, I think it's also used to determine whether witnesses are competent to guve testimony. I'm less sure about that last one.

Me: I will have a good day punching Nazis.
Jamie: I'm serious. Stay safe.
Me: I will stay safe while seriously punching Nazis.
Jamie: *sigh*

I full throated FUCK YOU to NSF Dir Sethuraman Panchanathan. By following Trump’s orders you are doing NAZI shit! Read this article on how 1933 German Universities did the same thing: trading the lives of their most vulnerable scientists in exchange for funding! www.facinghistory.org/resource-lib...

Academic freedom is still a thing. Our reference to terms widely accepted in scholarship violates our 1st amendment rights.

This is a shocking surrender to tyrannical thought control. It is unlawful for Trump to use federal funds or any other coercive mechanism to compel universities to give up their First Amendment rights or those of their staff & students.

GA Tech complying in advance. Apparently "justice" is a bad word. "Equality," too. #UGA & the entire #Georgia university system.

We’ve been informed by our governor that the Trump administration’s executive orders last week with regard to DEI and now A are considered part of state as well as federal law. (No, as far as I know the state legislature has not passed any measures to this effect.) 4/
They've been jumping through hoops justifying and explaining everything away. Gaslighting the rest of us as if we haven't heard what we've heard or seen what we've seen.
