See, the thing is, there's a doctrinal difference between ML and MLM which allows MLs to say 'oh yeah China isn't really communist' and MLMs to say 'oh yeah the USSR wasn't really communist' but neither is actually willing to say the same thing about both, just the one they don't personally support.

His own source being Trud, the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions official newspaper, issuing explicit decrees on behalf of the government about wages as the official publication in the USSR for such matters.

Peter Petroff, was a former member of the RSDLP who spent time in prison for being a member when doing so was a crime, resigned from the Bolshevik party in 1928 because of his opposition to the direction of the USSR. In the early days of the revolution the victorious working-class was striving for equality. Attempts were made to introduce “equal payment for all.”

I recollect, in the spring of 1918 in the People’s Commissariat for Foreign Affairs everyone from the People’s Commissar to the messengers received 500 roubles per month.

This system did not work and soon disappeared. However, during the whole period of war communism inequality was accepted as an evil that would one day be overcome.

Since the Socialist Soviet Republic is Socialist only in name no real equality is possible.

Soon a tendency towards the opposite extreme began to develop. Seventeen categories of wages were introduced. The opposition of the workers prevented the realisation of this scheme for a considerable time. A number of variations existed – eight categories of wages generally prevailed.

Definite rates of wages for each category of workers were fixed in the collective agreements between the employing State institutions and the Trade Unions.

With the advent of the Stalin regime the gospel of inequality began to be preached. The system of payment by result, the all-round application of piece-work made rapid progress. In 1928, When the first Five Year-Plan was introduced, piecework accounted to 57.5 per cent., in 1932 it reached 63.7 per cent., in 1933 it grew to 70 per cent, And it was supplemented by a “progressive” bonus system.

This is just counterhistorical: the USSR purchased labour-power via wages as a commodity as the sole capitalist enterprise to produce other commodities for exchange internally to be bought with said wages or exchanged externally for more capital.

Its a dumb point because in the situation of the USSR the MoP were owned by the state who purchased labour-power as a commodity in exchange for wages to produce commodities for exchange. This is definitionally capitalism.

What kind of question is this? What do you think capital is? They produced shit tons of capital, this is literally THE biggest mark of success of the USSR in modernizing the economies of its constituent Republics. Your fellating of their utilization of capital as a success is literally the topic.

Stalingrad Tractor Plant in the 1930s, the factory and its tools represent capital owned by the state, the labourers labour-power commoditized and purchased by the state to produce more capital and commodities for internal and external consumption with wages representing less than their full value. Meaning labour was alienated from its production.
