As a lifelong dodgers fan, I was really rooting for the Mariners to get their first Series.
I think I'd buy this palette now if it was available. The "Mauve" is not what I think of as mauve, which makes me wonder if the understanding of the color has changed, but it's the purple I'm always looking for.
I never used Spotify but thought some people should be aware.
Spotify is running ICE ads. I went to cancel on mobile and saw that this isn’t allowed on mobile. They make you cancel on desktop. You think that’s gonna stop me, Spotify? I will erase you and forget you ever existed.

THOU SHALT CANCEL SPOTIFY!!!
I use Pocketcasts for podcasts since Google closed its awesome podcast app. I really like it.
Your system needs an opportunity to relax from the constant stress of the world. Joy, peace, connection - all critically important to long term health in a state of critical stress. Someone said to me "I will not let that man take my health. And to keep my health, I must keep my joy."
All the comments I see hating on the protests...when I was in (early 2000s) I remember the sentiment being "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight like hell for your right to say it."

Those who say that to protest is unAmerican have never understood the sacrifice of service.

the crowd sizes are obviously the highlight here but the fact that *this* is the public statement of the NYPD does not bode well for the regime. or, put another way:

I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win
ZERO arrests at No Kings in NYC. (And the NYPD isn’t notorious for being sympathetic with people anti-Trump.)

This proves what shameless liars Speaker Mike Johnson & Karoline Leavitt are to slander the participants as violent anarchists.
I love that the Dodgers are also on that list...
Wow! Sandy Koufax is one of my all time favorite players...that's one helluva piece of history.
I loved Lasorda. I have no doubt he's doing exactly that.
For years, being a Dodgers fan meant baseball ended in September after months of almost-wins and let downs. Now they're expecting too much with all this excitement.

“The family added that when they confronted agents, Border Patrol reportedly told them they were working from an anonymous tip tied to the previous owners of the home, who lived there two years ago.” kfoxtv.com/news/local/e...
It's the post season and my team hasn't died yet. So what else is there to do during work today but watch Major League?

Painful to watch in some ways - the casual racism towards the indigenous was uncomfortable long before the name change. But one of the best baseball movies ever made.

My grandma, aunt, and I have an ongoing text chat during the games. It's my favorite thing. Baseball bonds us.
I have been rooting for this team for my entire life. It's lessons in the stages of grief and ain't for the faint of heart. I welcome all to the fold.
We've had a lot of Red Sox players come through the Dodgers that have brought me joy (still love Garcia Parra's plate tics) but none like Mookie.
My 90 year old grandmother who watches every inning of Dodgers baseball every year said they should take pity on their older fans.
I appreciate Portland treating this as exactly what it is - a circus.
Truth, sister. I am gonna put on some CCR myself and think of dad.

The Unexpected Problem. There's a plan, The Plan is awesome, crew is assembled...and then they switch the vault or something changes and we need to modify The Plan.
I think my favorite section of the Internet is the men who call out other men for being misogynists. Some do it with facts, some with incredulity, and some with music but whatever their media, they always make me smile. I hope the men who need to hear them do, but if not, you do the ladies proud.
