Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

The US state department announced on Saturday that it would stop issuing visas to children from Gaza in desperate need of medical care after an online pressure campaign from Laura Loomer, a far-right influencer close to Donald Trump who has described herself as “a proud Islamophobe”.

Treating Executive Orders as law is another autocratic constitutional amendment that's being effected by widespread fear and judicial surrender
That said, I want to offer an important caveat that all of you probably already know: an EO is not a law, even if many authorities are currently treating them as such. So we shouldn't just accept whatever is asserted in them.

NEW: The govt says it plans to begin proceedings to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to an unnamed third country (not El Salvador, where an immigration court found he is in danger of persecution) once he is released from TN criminal custody (as soon as tomorrow).
