There's never been a stronger case for forcing Meta to divest WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger (in decreasing order of likelihood). And never been a less likely time for it to happen.
listen, you don't have to listen to random Internet strangers telling you to give up community and familial ties and your income when they'll do nothing to support you in replacing them. deleting Meta apps isn't easy for everyone

I wonder if anyone's looked into the causal link between this kind of progressive mask-drop and the slowing/reversal of the tech boom that's been happening since 2022-ish.
Does austerity beget social conservatism? Is the shift away from empathy a necessity for layoffs and rejecting newcomers?
