the extreme Texas gerrymander that set off all the redistricting wars is almost entirely predicated on the assumption that the Hispanic Republican shift in 2024 was permanent and could perhaps even be expanded on so we are now at DEFCON-2 for something extremely funny happening in November.

I was lucky: the very first thing my college physics professor said to us in Science History 101 was (paraphrasing): the division between arts and sciences is a scam, they overlap and interact endlessly, and we’re going to talk about that.

"Gun: Fighting Is My Monday" by @jackfoster.bsky.social is a smart/fun supervillain comic with GORGEOUS artwork that I enjoyed reading. I'm especially glad I bought a print copy (digital copies are available) as the cover glows in the dark which is so cool.
