This is entirely immoral: ripping children away from the only homes they have ever know, detaining them and sending them to countries theyve never been to.

It is a abomination and so far outside of Labour values I don't know what to say

I mean, this should really go without saying but it's not up to third party observers to decide how the victims of racist abuse should feel about it.
You'll be amazed to discover that a bunch of anonymous people that Nigel Farage says definitely do exist, have confirmed that he didn't say any of the things that lots of other people say on the record that he absolutely did

Not for the first time, I’m being told that attacking Farage for his boyhood racism is futile. The opposite is the case, as you can see from how rattled he is by it.

And no, it’s not about persuading Farage fans anything, it’s about mobilising the non-voters and encouraging tactical voting.

This is the problem I have with Starmer on this stuff. You can't just give a speech, box ticked, you have to go for these people. Sack Nandy put someone in post who will go 'no, actually, GB news, you don't get to broadcast this filth', for a start. Go for X, Facebook, the lot.
GB News now broadcasting calls to remove the ethnic minority MPs from parliament

Absolutely extraordinary but at the same time entirely unsurprising. There is, of course, absolutely no way on earth Pollard or the Jewish Chronicle would give this leeway to any figure on the left. You can smell the hypocrisy from space.

This is how the Mail has covered a 70% fall in net migration.

The Government should stop kidding itself it will ever get credit for being anti-migration. They could cut numbers to zero and there would still be front pages blasting them for making the UK a socialist wasteland no one wants to come to

Another way of looking at this, of course, is that if you took the triple lock out of the equation, the benefits bill would very likely roughly be increasing in line with projected inflation *if that*

This is beginning to matter. That is encouraging. Corbyn never sued over anti-Semitism allegations. Farage won't either. There is a reason why.
"My most vivid memories of my school life is Farage repeatedly coming up to me, knowing that I was Jewish, saying 'Hitler was right' and 'gas em' and that was frequently followed by imitating the sound of escaping gas."

Peter Ettedgui, ex classmate of Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage.

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

It would be nice to think that at least some interviewers might ask Farage if he is still a Nazi, but of course none will.

Have been thinking about “immigration has been tearing this country apart.” Surely I’m not the only person to think that it isn’t true, but inflamed rhetoric about immigration by politicians is what is tearing this country apart and so statements like that only makes it worse.

I think the failure to properly regulate social media, or to enforce the regulations/laws that do apply, will eventually be seen as one of the great failures of ~2010-25.

And looks like the same will be true of LLMs.
There is absolutely clear and compelling evidence that X is in breach of its legal obligations in the UK, under both the Online Safety Act and the Equality Act, because This point landed well with the Women & Equalities Select Committee today

There’s been a lot of complaints that he wasn’t referred to as an activist on QT last week, personally I think it’s an outrage that he wasn’t called a racist as well.

I think Peston should apologise for this outrageous framing. Not a serious show that any of us should be going on until this kind of nonsense stops.
Is the Reform MP who says she’s driven mad by TV adverts full of Black & Asian people a racist or realist? How many migrants would the Tories expel? & should the UK be selling fighter jets to Türkiye?

BBC News last night led with this, closely followed by another case of a horrible murder committed by an asylum seeker. No wonder the atmosphere has got so toxic. The national newsworthiness of these stories is solely the fact that they involve asylum seekers

Saying what you actually think is the most authentic thing a politician can do. Starmer should stop worrying what the reaction might be and do it more often. After all, a lot of us in the UK are not psychotic, far-right racists.
NEW - Starmer on Katy Lam: "I can't tell you how much I disagree with her.

"People who are lawfully in this country, who have been working in our communities, our neighbours... to reach in and remove them from our country - for 'cultural reasons'. That is how far the Conservative party has sunk."

Think we’ve crossed a pretty major threshold – and a very bad one – if a journalist working in the lobby for a major newspaper group can tweet like this without professional consequences.
A mainstream “journalist” calling for a British MP to be deported. Is it because I’m Muslim? Next time, just say it with your chest.
