I believe in country over party, transparency & ethics in government. As said by TRoosevelt: “Character, in the long run, is the decisive factor in the life of an individual and of nations alike”. Same handle on X.

She paid hundreds of thousands for life-saving open-heart surgery and only avoided bankruptcy because she had solid insurance.

For anyone without coverage or savings, the same surgery could ruin them or cost their life.
That’s how broken this system is.

Russians are now boasting about Trump being on their side.
Lavrov said that the only Western leader to care about human rights in Ukraine is President Trump.

He then blamed the EU for changing the agreement to call Ukraine to comply with EU human rights policies.
"Feel the difference," Lavrov said.

Matviyenko's face behind him speaks volumes.

Despite what you hear from fossil fuel-funded politicians, the U.K has just generated a record amount of clean, domestic wind energy.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

U.K decarbonisation policy is a recipe for energy security.

There are very few immutable rules of politics anymore.

But politicians being punished for telling voters they aren’t hurting financially when they’re hurting financially— that rule has never gone away.

Democrats—if they take back the House—already needed to launch an investigation into Bove’s egregious criminal conduct on Trump’s behalf before his confirmation to the 3rd Circuit. But they should also look into his brazen partisanship, which obviously violates the judicial Code of Conduct.
Via MS NOW: Emil Bove is in attendance at Trump’s speech in Pennsylvania tonight.

The authoritarian takover of the state bureaucracy might not *sound* like a big deal. But SCOTUS giving Trump the ability to fire the federal government is a God-King power, and represents a failure of the American Revolution.

hey a fun thing is that if congress is delegating authority to an independent agency then by definition that agency is not "unaccountable." it is still accountable to congress. and it is interesting (read: extremely frustrating) to me that these people just write congress out of existence here.
Kavanaugh: Broad delegations to unaccountable agencies are dangerous for individual liberty! We have used the major questions doctrine to prevent agencies from overreaching.
