NEW: The official USCIS guidance on this pause is out. Until further notice from the USCIS Director, all immigration benefits (including citizenship) are indefinitely suspended for nationals of 19 countries, as are all affirmative asylum applications from nationals of any country.

Israel really watched Russia the past three years and said "let's try that
After the Israeli occupation army massacred over a dozen Syrian civilians in Beit Jinn last week, Netanyahu demands that Syria demilitarize "from Damascus to Jabal al-Sheikh", the latter of which Israel currently illegally occupies.
Israel’s Netanyahu says deal with Syria possible but demands buffer zone
US is pushing for a non-aggression pact between Israel, Syria, but Netanyahu has shown little appetite for compromise.

"Scapegoat" - if he in fact gave the order he's a war criminal at best. Regardless of whether he was following hegseth's orders (he was)
Breaking news: Government officials said they are increasingly concerned that the Trump administration intends to scapegoat the military officer who directed U.S. forces to kill survivors of a targeted strike on suspected drug smugglers in Latin America.
Hegseth, with White House help, tries to distance himself from boat strike fallout
As Congress vows accountability, the Trump administration emphasized it was a top military commander — not the defense secretary — who directed the engagement.

This is ridiculous. It was the first TRUMP admin which developed the cases against President Hernandez. His brother Tony Hernandez was indicted in 2018 and convicted in 2019, and key ally Geovanny Fuentes Ramirez was indicted in 2020.

Both were later sentenced to life in prison!
Leavitt: "The people of Honduras have highlighted to him how the former President Hernandez was set up. This was a clear Biden over prosecution."

Does anyone have a robust theory as to why the recent reporting on follow on strikes has galvanized this response and not you know the murders they were in the first order?
Note that both of the joint Republican-Democrat Statements from the Senate and House Armed Services Committees refer to the 'Department of Defense' - not the 'Department of War' - in their statements promising oversight of Pete Hegseth's actions.

Israel does not believe any other country in the region has any right to sovereignty, or borders, or airspace, or protection from the Israeli military. Israel's posture, aka Israel's illegal occupation of Syrian territory and its repeat attacks towards Syria, is entirely consistent with this.

Can we please stop doing this Trump vs Biden granted the shooter asylum bullshit? The asylum process is hard enough and it only covers your past not what you could do in the future. We don't need it to be tougher, sometimes people go bad and there is no reasonable way to predict it.

The ACLU found official misconduct, perjury, and predominantly white juries to be leading contributors to exonerated death sentences.
