Daily reminder. You have a sexual predator in the WH. Hold him and everyone involved accountable.

The survivors deserve justice.
The public deserves answers.
The predators deserve consequences.

Stand with survivors, not perpetrators.

Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

Evidence of Farage’s unabashed youthful racism has been in the public domain since at least 2013, yet somehow he has been allowed to remain part of the British political conversation. The fact he wasn’t driven back under a rock years ago has emboldened racists across the country to spread hatred.

I have thoughts on this excellent piece which (naturally) I agree with.

What might have caused this strange absence of attention to substance which we find across government, opposition, and criticism / commentary (the cult of savviness)?

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

I’m getting a bit squiffy eyed in my old age and read that as welfare dogs -

Was confused and intrigued for a few seconds imagining dogs let loose on the high street
Spending money on welfare does lead to growth and investment in the high street. In fact it’s the easiest way to distribute money where it’s needed most

Currently Reform are a minority of 5 out of 650 with political influence. How does that justify broad significant changes to programming of BBC output based on how the public may vote in 3½ years time? Shah and Gibb have power over the BBC that is wholly out of proportion and heavily biased.

It’s still way too expensive but …
Pleased the Government has listened to the @libdems.org.uk who have been calling for rail fares to be frozen for some time. This will be a huge relief to my constituents and commuters across the country. Now let’s see more investment in improving rail services.
Millions of commuters across the UK are set to save after the first freeze on rail fares for 30 years.
