one nitpick i have about movie discourse is when people say "movies are too long" they either mean "marvel movies are too long" in which case just don't watch them or "all movies are too long" in which case you're not cut out for watching movies

sorry for being grouchy about it but the worst type of internet guy (who has existed as long as the internet itself) to me is The Guy Who Calls Stuff Fake not just because it's smug and unhelpful, but because they never feel the need to demonstrate how they know, because they don't actually know.

i'm not innocent here myself but: i love this kind of scolding. it's really helpful to not explicitly identify the fake stuff that you're the only person smart enough to have identified
