Seems like the Commission should work with the county and condemn the gate for being on easement land and have the county remove it. It would force the old fart’s hand to sell. He’s not doing much with it other than getting tax write off given his attempts to monetize the property are meager.

This! People with platforms need to clearly articulate a list of reforms and lead the efforts to enact them such as Constitutional amendments that nullify Citizens United and Trump v. United States as well as establish nonpartisan citizen commission districting and rank choice voting

I have no idea who “they” is. It looks like you are referring to ChatGPT. If that’s the case, it’s a typo that anthropomorphizes a model and should be edited to “it” as you’ve used elsewhere in your essay. If that’s not the case, it is not clear who “they” is referring to, which is why I asked.

AI is a tool. You should teach students how to use it as such, including understanding the analysis that it performs. Otherwise, they won’t know when errors happen.

Yes, there are many dual use opportunities! Some of the pavement is parking lots that can be covered with PV panels; some of the buildings are appropriate for solar; and portions of reservoirs are suitable for floatovoltaics (particularly near dams where fugitive methane could be mitigated).

As preprint servers become ubiquitous and integrated into the “science publishing ecosystem”, they need a consistent set of publishing requirements and quality indicators added as a cover page before an article is posted so that journalists can distinguish between total BS and genuine scholarship.

Nayib Bukele purged the El Salvadoran courts, replaced judges with allies, and made the judiciary legally subservient to him. Elon Musk says we need to the same here, ending ~250 years of an independent judiciary. Stop treating his involvement in US politics as innocent and normal.
