I read the Virginia Dept of Wildlife Resources deer hunting rules. And I confirmed that I can use my Amazonian blow gun during muzzle loader season. Which is nice.

Meat sacks are pretty non deterministic. We still find lots of things they can do productively. But just before meals their stochasticity increases, it seems 😀

Pretty unsatisfying response. It’s basically complex in interplay between supply and demand for dimensional lumber. Compounded by large box store procurement processes that procure different sizes in different volumes and out to different delivery dates.

I just turned some AI research agents on to researching this. I’ll let you know what I find.

Fortunately, it’s an absolutely original acronym with no potential of naming clash or confusion. I like that.

I think it’s dominated by supply chain nuance. But I’m not sure. I think here on the East Coast 2 x 8 and 2 x 4 dominate construction usage. Therefore box stores contract for those differently than they do two by sixes.

This week in “supply chain economics are unintuitive” - 2x6 lumber is more expensive than 2x8. 10% more by gross board length, 30% more by board foot. Odd.

Every time I see a neighbor, they got their face up against the glass with an expression that can only be described as “dafuq?”

Great insider info about airports. Worth the read if you fly even once a year.

A life update: this wound up paying off. I'm still applying to several jobs that are hopefully careers, but I've got my survival needs covered by a job at the airport that I'm apparently pretty good at.

And instead of being in an office alone, which was driving me mad, I see 20k people a day.

There is a line around this building to get to the line entrance to wait to get into this job fair.

At the airport. For airport jobs.

Feels good to be back on my bullshit again.

I did a quick search online to see if other folks are doing this mod. Surprisingly almost none. Reading Reddit you’d think pellet smokers and egg cookers were matter and antimatter. They’re just primitive ovens, y’all.

This is how things started.

I found a Char-Griller Akorn on FB Marketplace for cheap. It’s a Green egg knock off. Charcoal fueled. But it wasn’t rednecked up to my standards. Kinda suburban bougie, actually. But an ammo barrel and a pellet smoker attachment later, and things are escalating nicely.
