I never did an intro so...

Hi! I'm a software designer based in SF. I've been around the block a few times and you've probably used some of my work at Pinterest, Figma, and most recently Slack.

Right now I spend my time working on @maitsu.co, an app for building habits and hobbies with friends.
maiko has been a slug on my laptop all day. i had to pick her up and move her to make her go get her food (she's fine, it's just really nice and warm)

The paradox of this monitor is its pretty well built for what it is, but theres no buttons for the OSD and instead you must use the shittiest IR remote to control it.

My primary use for this monitor is switching between my PC and Mac so I caved and... I guess I'm building a wifi-enabled IR emitter

All of these things are true:
1. Alan Dye should never have had the role he did at Apple
2. Dye damaged Apple's software for years (and for years to come)
3. Tim Cook should have removed him long ago
4. It's a huge win for Apple's users that he left
5. Meta has such poor taste that they wanted him

On one hand, I am so happy I never skip RAM day.

On the other, I feel so incredibly bad for anyone looking to buy or upgrade a PC (or any device for that matter) for the foreseeable future.

The legal, media, and academic institutions capitulating to an authoritarian ordering payments for favorable treatment are damning themselves to irrelevance. They are destroying their institutions. They will be — and should be — shunned for failing in their most basic purposes for existing.

Every few months I get a discount email for @kaleidoscope.app and as much as I want to support good software, I just cannot rationalize buying into a subscription for a diff viewer.

I think they'd get me if they adopted the Sketch model where you can keep using the last version you paid for.
