“Forget the Alamo.”
Just finished watching Lone Star, from John Sayrles and an amazing cast. A damn good movie that could be taking place today.

So thrilled to see ALTER EGO out in paperback today!

Eternally proud of this standalone sequel to SECRET IDENTITY, which was an immediate USA TODAY-bestseller, Anthony Award-nominee, and got rave reviews from all over.

Well we’re doing it. Next week in D&D we are going to Eberron!
November 26, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Yes, totally agree
Probably the wrong way to run D&D, but I really hate asking the players to make rolls during social scenes, it breaks the flow of the improv for me.

I’m much more interested in what they’re saying and what questions they’re asking.

The irony of course is that Black Americans are probably far more likely to be descended from people who lived in North America before 1776 than white Americans are.

well fuck
Everyone who thinks MeToo went too far needs to consider that if MeToo had *gone far enough* we might never have heard from Ryan Lizza again.

My weird little book about friends, family, and trapping people in labyrinths against their will makes a pretty excellent stocking stuffer, if you ask me.

This is the version of the post that everyone needs to see. And all you readers/authors despairing of non-comprehension, etc, we are gaining new fans of fantasy and SF. It might not be the fantasy or SF you personally read, but they're reading and buying where they weren't before.
It hits different reading this whole thread.

Unlike most apps these days, Scrivener does not use AI in any way. However, if you’re on a Mac, you may see an AI prompt.

Transmasc authors I've really enjoyed lately are Isaac Fellman, Ian Haramaki, Nino Cipri, and Kit Mayquist. Oh, and me. I enjoy myself lol.
Not to be vulnerable at like 4am, but dude, I'm so fucking tired. I'm so tired of seeing some of the best transmasc lit I've ever read get completely ignored while people recommend works by cis authors where there is one transmasc in the margins--

Tonight, in D&D:
The Orphan-Makers find Camber’s niece in a coffin, recently turned. They take her with them, and at the entrance find a vampire and its two vampire servants. Lara joins the fight, feeding on both the vampire and its thrall. A journal tells the masters plan to bring eternal night.

Everyone deserves a happy healthy life, with housing and food and medical care. All medical care.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

No armor. No camo. No masks. No military weapons. Back in proper police uniforms, none of the BDU crap. Up to me I wouldn’t even give them a gun for their first year or two.
I simply refuse to accept that police ever have to look like this. this is just pure cosplay. it should be illegal for cops to be dressed like soldiers going to war.
