I started out as a pantser but my stories always got mired in increasing detail as I struggled to find the path my stories needed to take. I discovered I needed a target to strive towards before writing the first word. I’m now a semi outliner. I know what I want out of each scene, but not the how.

I finished @seananmcguire.bsky.social’s latest October Daye novel, “Silver and Lead” this evening. A solid book of the series, though so much of the first part of the book is catching readers up to speed on recent events. I quite enjoyed it, and am eager to see what is made of the hints at the end.
