for-profit benefit corporation cash cow to fund an Incubated Collective Impact network reinventing how complex trauma survivors are supported in society

We can absolutely use generative AI technology for good just like they use it for evil.

You know you are a genuinely amazing human if Peter Theil hates you that much.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
You scenario is more than a little different than mine, and I'm fairly certain your process flows are more than a little different, too. I mean, you saying that you're a really good contact center architect and wishing me luck is kind of meaningless, outside of just being snarky.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
I'm unsure why you would believe I don't understand that but, more importantly, it doesn't seem you understand what I was talking about.

What I'm saying is that governing agents should be able to address the mistakes so they don't add up beyond what they would at human operational scale.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
I'm co-developing an agentic-native operational model for a services company. Fundamentally our decision formula is "if agent task error rate ≤ the staff error rate & the experience of customers and staff ≥ expected experience without agents, then it's a go.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
I think Grace is correct from my perspective running organizations and building them from scratch. I expect a calculator to be right 100% of the time, but it would be silly of me to expect that from agents.

The formula does boil down exactly like Grace said: agents just have to beat out humans.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
Couldn't the speed of those mistakes be mitigated by governing agents much as institutions do?

Institutions are just systems of rules and processes attended to and carried out by groups of people who experience, recognize, report and/or fix the mistakes?

Whew, the ableism...

More people need to feel comfortable saying:

"Please turn off your AI notes. We have a policy that doesn't allow unapproved AI or recordings."

What seems asinine to me is judging someone's bagel order as being asinine.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
Hope folks have fun at these semi-annual Saturday morning protests of convenience.

But the only thing that will move the needle socially and politically are sustained protests in which people are making personal sacrifices.

Folks in power don't look at this as anything other than a big field trip.

When writing alt text for an image of text, it's not enough to just write "screen shot of text from article." Sighted users get to know what is in that screen shot, so why don't blind users deserve the same? The alt text should include all the actual text in the image.

There are 198 responses, so if they're all wrong then I have to question why New York bagel culture is so discriminatory and uninventive

It's the unique opportunity to deploy assistive tools in the educational setting without learners having to navigate bureaucratic red tape or openly disclose their disability and suffer the stigma in bullying that comes along with it.

It perfectly aligns with the social model of disability.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
It's also important because that chart doesn't address assistive use cases. LLM tools are inherently different than any previous assistive ed tech because the tool it's self isn't just four neurodivergent and disabled learners but can be individually configured for all students.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
It's relevant because terminology is important, especially given so many educators see no material difference between AI ed tech and AI assistive tools and therefore flatly reject the legitimacy of and use cases for assistive tools.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
There's a difference between AI-based education tools and AI assistive tools in the educational context, the latter of which is about helping neurodivergent and disabled learners.

No subject matter expertise is required whatsoever to use AI assistive tools.

If my argument is just nonsense generated by an "idiot box," then why were you reduced to that tragically inept response?

Along the same lines, why is that blithering idiocy all you could conjure up if I'm just a name calling stupid person.

Were you really intellectually exposed so easily?
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
This is the part I enjoy the most when working you ableist anti-AI zealots.

Let's say all that really was generated by an LLM. If LLM's are just useless "idiot boxes," then why was that confused adolescent nonsense all you could conjure in response?

Surely you're not dumber than an idiot box.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
Yeah, internalized ableism is in many ways worse than the regular variety because you really should know better.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
Ed Zitron doesn't know what he's talking about. He's just professionally mining the angst and self-absorbed fears of folks in certain demographics.

He's basically using the same emotional manipulation playbook as Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
There's a reason for that - there's no coherent case that'll happe that I've yet seen. Also haven't seen an economically likely case to be made.

For example, that quote is from a journalist who was a former film critic and wrote a book about blogging - you can almost smell the confirmation bias.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
I can't imagine he won't, and he's positioning himself perfectly to win both the primaries and the general.

It's crazy early, but pritzker's only primary competition is Newsom. Yet Newsom has alienated the Dem base by being transphobic, attacking unhoused folks, and generally being fake as hell.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
My guess is you've already blocked or muted me because you clowns pretty much categorically are too insecure and fragile to handle these truths about you.

But if you haven't, you now need to sit with what I've said, think on your life choices, and try being a decent human and member of society.
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
The only thing you clowns are accomplishing is making yourselves feel better - and you're doing it by lashing out at some of the most vulnerable in our society who are simply trying to live the best lives that they can given the resources they have available to them.

The fuck is wrong with y'all?
joeyvazquez.bsky.social
Let's say you ableist bigots were 100% successful in cowing every single neurodivergent and disabled person from ever using generative AI technology.

It wouldn't move the needle at all in terms of whatever destruction is being done by the technology. It would have no impact at all.
