Bad News on a likely British By-Election Result. However numbers suggest labour voters may desert Starmer's outfit and vote Green to defeat Reform.

Man of Cork's head may roll: "Pressure is growing on Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff Morgan McSweeney over his role in the appointment of Lord Peter Mandelson as US ambassador to Washington, which Labour figures accuse him of having personally spearheaded." Financial Times

"The idea that anyone did not know about Epstein’s conviction as a sex abuser is absurd. Some people spurned his social approaches. Having been invited in 2010 to an Epstein dinner... Tina Brown, replied: “What the fuck is this . . .? The paedophile’s ball?” - Edward Luce, Financial Times

This looks like more Sinn Féin dog-whistling to racists.
If you want to live alongside your kid or partner, Matt Carthy wants to know if you speak English well enough/integrated enough to deserve that 🙄

Suella Braverman, mental health problems? This should remind everyone of a famous Lyndon Baines Johnson attack on an election opponent; the text suggested LBJ's rival enjoyed intimate intercourse with pigs. A horrified aide objected; LBJ said "let the son-of-a-bitch deny it".
Suella Braverman is clearly a bloody awful figure but a low blow for the Tory leadership to comment on her mental health. “The Conservatives did all we could to look after Suella’s mental health” is all a bit “she looks tired.” Braverman is a careerist racist. That’s more than enough to criticise.

Baroness Kate Hoey joins Reform UK! Might as well predict no-surprise news.
I'm delighted to welcome Kate Hoey to Reform UK!

An example of Keir "Waive the Rules" Starmer on manoeuvres. And a BBC journalist who was not up to speed with relevant facts.
They didn't block the West of England mayor from running for parliament in 2024 and didn't make him step down when he was elected.
Douglas Alexander claims on R4 that the rule used to block Burnham’s candidacy has been in place “for several years”, and isn't challenged by Nick Robinson. Lazy, when everyone who’s paying attention (such as the FT journos 👇) knows the rule was put in place a year ago, precisely to stop Burnham.

"The panel, which included Starmer, voted eight-to-one against Burnham, according to one person familiar with the discussion. Only deputy Labour leader Lucy Powell voted in his favour." Keir Starmer's supporters sign their leader's political death warrant.
