Audio is so important! Whenever we get new audio in for an area it really sells the place for sure, makes something feel *finished*

The funniest side effects of voicing the announcement system in my game is how I will occasionally stumble upon someone horny-posting about it in reviews or online, it takes every fiber of my being to not respond with a goof

If anyone knows some like, 90s-early 2000s games that used unique tricks to accomplish this I would definitely appreciate it.

Been having fun designing organic areas for WK, but I gotta figure out how to make everything feel *sopping wet* without proper specularity. I'm kinda doing it with this shimmer feature in my ubershader, though maybe there's some old games that got the damp look without any fancy tricks?

big gothic castle in quake from last year. didn't make it for any other reason than I was using it to make new textures and enjoying myself.

Congrats!!! It's definitely the hardest region so far, so beating it is awesome!

thoughts on inventory and encumbrance system

basics: gradual speed debuff with carry.

you can pick how light or heavy you want to run as part of your build (swappable at any time). and if you run over there's no hard barrier, but there's a gentle reminder to help you hit your build target.
