I see takes like this now and again and I remain unclear what anyone thinks a state governor could *do* to capture the federal tax payments of residents. I mean, I suppose people could voluntarily put taxes in escrow accounts in protest, but what do governors have to do with the discussion?
It’s past time for Blue State governors from CA, NY, IL, MN, WA, OR, MA etc filling up fed coffers with tax revenues to have discussions on what can a “blue state compact” look like exploring practicable soft secession - ie escrow accounts for tax payers from those states.
What is the point of appropriations if the White House can just cut off spending against its enemies?

You know who else got called a domestic terrorist by federal officials? MLK. John Lewis. Rosa Parks. Hundreds of other civil rights advocates going back to the ‘50s and heck, the 1850s. John Brown, who deserved it!, but abolitionists who just spoke about the cruelty of slavery got it too.

I am not watching this, and you don’t have to either. Watching a person get murdered will not make you stronger or a better activist. You’ve seen the stuffed animals. There was a pet. Renee Good was a kind soul. Watching her die won’t help you live out the life she deserved and the example she set.
