Multi billionaire conducts months of historical and theological research into the Antichrist. Discovers, shockingly, that one thing the Antichrist would definitely do is tax billionaires. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

He believes the Armageddon will be ushered in by an antichrist-type figure who cultivates a fear of existential threats such as climate change, Al and nuclear war to amass inordinate power. The idea is this figure will convince people to do everything they can to avoid something like a third world war, including accepting a one-world order charged with protecting everyone from the apocalypse that implements a complete restriction of technological progress. In his mind, this is already happening. Thiel said that international financial bodies, which make it more difficult for people to shelter their wealth in tax havens, are one sign the antichrist may be amassing power and hastening Armageddon, saying: "It's become quite difficult to hide one's money."

1. Before 2020, I never, ever remember getting sick being portrayed as a good thing.

"Most people will get one or two respiratory infections every year. In some ways, it's a *good thing* when you are a child or healthy adult".

*my emphasis.

Diane Keaton was a true Californian. She was a self-described oddball, uniquely stylish, deeply creative, funny, and an acting legend who could steal the screen in comic and dramatic roles alike. She was in a class all her own, an icon.

Triple terror.

In the Chernihiv region, a russian drone targeted a service car of engineers who came to repair an energy facility after russia's previous attack — killing two workers and injuring three.

When rescuers arrived, russians shelled them too.

Unspeakable horror. Don't look away.

"Wurst" zählt doch schon seit jeher zu den hässlichsten Worten, die die deutsche Sprache zu bieten hat, ein Klang wie ein Oberschenkelhalsbruch.
Nun ergibt sich die Chance für neue Wortschöpfungen. "Söderle" wäre zum Beispiel eine Möglichkeit.
"Eine Mettsöderle und 400 Gramm Söderlesalat bitte."

“Concerns over an AI bubble bursting have grown lately, with analysts recently finding that it’s 17 times the size of the dotcom-era bubble and four times bigger than the 2008 financial crisis.”

Hang onto your butts. This “correction” is gonna hurt.

Guess who just got both the updated COVID vaccine and flu shots today? Your dear Leader Trump. Maybe you should get them too.

This Reaktion was astoundingly similar around the world and in Germany
even the state media were suggesting it by emphasising the problems the mitigation attempts caused. As if someone had launched a huge disinformation machine… ah, wait.

These CDC firings are actually the most logical action Trump has taken, to me. An enormous segment of the population, tens of millions of Trump voters, feels that COVID mitigation efforts (not COVID itself) were the worst things that ever happened to them, and want that never to happen again.

You would not fire these people—including the staff of the hugely, HUGELY important 'Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report'—if you cared at all about public health, if you wanted people to live.

And you would not let your thuggish henchmen fire people like this if you were a responsible president.

One of the cartoons in my new book 'Physics for Cats' which is out now in the UK, USA, Canada, France and Germany. Order from your local bookshops or online: www.tomgauld.com/
Two beetles on a stick.
One beetle says to the other "Do you ever get the feeling we are being observed by another lifeform"
Zoom out to reveal that they are in a glass case with two scientists studying them.
One scientist says to the other "Do you ever get the feeling we are being observed by another lifeform"
Zoom out into space. Abouard a spaceship, two aliens watch the scientists on a screen.
One alien says to the other "Do you ever get the feeling we are being observed by another lifeform"
The aliens turn to look out at the reader.

Text below the cartoon reads:
