Given that the Russians quite literally drafted our capitulation plan for Ukraine one has to wonder about whether there wasn’t at least a bit of cutting and pasting here.
"The Kremlin on Sunday welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's new national security strategy and said it largely accorded with Russia's own perceptions, the first time that Moscow has so fulsomely praised such a document from its former Cold War foe."

I don't see what's stopping the European Commission from saying something along the lines of: "We will no longer post on X and we don't think citizens of EU nations should post there either."
So what's the outcome?

2️⃣5️⃣ of the 27 Commissioners have posted in the last week

2️⃣4️⃣ of the 27 generally post every week (Albuquerque has never been on X, Ribera is sporadic, McGrath has somehow stopped)

0️⃣ have stopped as a result of what Twitter has become since the Musk takeover

Europe is not a single entity - even within the EU. It is not capable of speaking and acting as a demos, especially on defence and security. From reactions to the financial crash through Brexit to the slide back to autocracy in parts of Central and Eastern Europe, it's there for all to see.
The joint American and Russian attack on Europe is ideological and if Europe is going to succeed in fighting back - rather than be reduced to an unhappy collection of vassal states - it needs to decide whether it is willing and able to defend its own liberal democratic ideals. My latest

For a while I understood the EU institutions remaining on X, as a pure public broadcasting channel. But given it has fully become a radicalisation machine, and an owner who calls for destroying the EU, it is high time to leave also for European politicians.
After the little Musk-Sikorski spat this, and Musk's statement to abolish the EU (after the Commission fined X), let's ask ourselves simply:

HOW ARE EUROPEAN COMMISSIONERS USING X NOW?

In this 🧵 I'll document it, Commissioner by Commissioner. When did they last post? How often do they post?

I know, I know. No one wants the military involved domestically and "the military won't save us." However, the military officer oath explicitly says, "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

So a few thoughts about that.
Make no mistake, if the 14th Amendment should fall - I am not saying it will, there are plenty of obstacles, I am speaking hypothetically - but if it should fall, no one is safe. It is challenging for most families to prove legal citizenship beyond a generation or two.
