Ohioans know that the reason property taxes are up across our state is because of the GOP statehouse. (Eg. Vivek’s running mate)

For years, they've handed out money to special interests, pushed the burden down to property taxpayers, and hoped that nobody notices.

Same trick, year after year.

Today Republicans refreshed our memories, via Jack Smith.

I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

LOFGREN: The fact that Trump, according to Senator Graham, would be that 'Martians stole the election' -- what does that tell you about Trump's state of mind?

JACK SMITH: Trump was not looking for honest answers about if there was fraud in the election. He was looking for ways to stay in power

Just got off the phone with my US Representative’s office, urging her to vote “NO” on DHS funding and do everything in her power to rein in ICE.

Was simple to do, quick, and it was way more impactful than doomscrolling or angry posting.

I think there is a very simple response from any Dem leader directly questioned regarding defunding ICE.

"Look, any unregulated activities which violate the Constitution, kill and kidnap US citizens, and kidnap children should not be funded. That should not be limited to ICE."

Jack Smith looked Congress in the eye and said it: Trump’s criminal activity was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. He’d prosecute any former president on the same facts, party be damned.

Bipartisan negotiators released a DHS funding bill that does not significantly reduce ICE and CBP’s funding nor rein in the agencies’ abuses of power.

Make no mistake: Any Democrat who votes for this bill is complicit in Trump’s campaign of terror.

Grow a spine and vote no.

Pretend, just for a little while, that your job isn't running for reelection or higher office.

Pretend that your job is saving American democracy.
