nobody needs AI to create graphic novels. ai will, in fact, never be able to create anything worthwhile. you're literally stealing the motivation, training, and confidence to make comics away from these kids you creep, leave them alone!!

I got the shingles vax and it was fine.

PSA: if anyone in your life is trying to dissuade you from getting the shingles shot, you should probably assume that person hates you, and wants you to suffer. There is literally no other explanation.
Shingles hurts worse than childbirth. Worse than knee surgery. Worst pain of my life.

I am baffled by this because I have had so many friends with shingles and NONE of them made it sound fun. Not one. A vaccine that made me absolutely miserable for 48 hours would still be a huge improvement over the mildest case of shingles I've heard of. (Also it made me tired for 1 day.)

Every facet of generative AI has made my professional life worse, without question, but THIS specific aspect has been driving me NUTS.
Clients, who have made me toil for weeks over indescribably small details, are now approving & producing in-house commercial artwork that looks like a fever dream.

I feel the clients now using GenAI to do stuff and going "good enough" when they used to nitpick at every last detail is due to them finding out all those nit picky changes take time and work they cant be bothered to put in.

Like, I really can't even begin to describe how gutting this one is to me. And you know, I was in there last week and thought some of the new photography on the walls looked like it'd been put through an AI filter, but convinced myself that couldn't be the case.
I'm just tired. So very tired.

The severe disappointment of having the owner of a small local business I've always loved and supportive send out an email about how they're experimenting with multiple Gen AI platforms, are convinced it will shape our future, and love Chat GPT's thoughtful insights into who they are as a person 💔
