What world is this where I’m agreeing with Will Stancil all the time?

No surprise here
The is like the captain of the Titanic taking the last lifeboat for himself.

I remember when he was just a young pup losing 21 games in a row in Detroit.
This old man was half dead in an Airstream getting spinal injections during the preseason. Congrats, you goddamn wizard.

A lot of content creators have politics as crazy as professional athletes do, just in the opposite direction.

Everything in Minnesota is terrible and Trump needs to be stopped.

But seeing the Left take that and try and turn it into grist for separate political goals like new constitutions is also ghoulish.

He was in a really good one that came out last Spring. In wide release!
I don't think I've seen a movie with him in it in forever but I love that every Robert Pattinson interview has a section exactly like this

What I’m most hoping out of the He-Man movie is that he tells the Eternians he is a human and they hear it as heman and that’s how he gets his name.

In the last decade ????
trump getting his feelings hurt by european leaders is the culmination of this new type of guy that emerged in the last decade or so: guy who goes out of his way to be a huge asshole who then gets really offended when the people he's being an asshole to don't like him

I do think I would have respected Marty Supreme a tiny bit more if they had gone for the vampire ending.

The reason the DSA will never achieve its goals isn’t because they’re impractical or ill thought out, it’s because they’re run by crazy people.

My main takeaway from doom scrolling all day are the number of people looking for groups to blame all of their problems and it’s not just the rascists or the right.

They believe that because that’s what the electorate said in all exit polls and also that the fascism elements weren’t as important. We can ignore what they said and try to fight the last battle over again but I don’t see it working.
I'm finding it very cognitively dissonant to see Dems navel gazing about how to "message" on grocery prices when the batshit crazy president is waging warat home and abroad. I guess that's all they believe we care about but it feels more and more like fiddling while the world burns.

The problem here and with Morris’ piece is the risk of replaying 2020-24 over again. The countries’ natural reaction to Trump does not mean they don’t want the reform the senate worked on in 23-34.
"I spent much of 2025 pointing out that political pundits were misreading immigration and effectively ceding ground to Trump. This argument was controversial when I started making it. Now it is undeniable," writes @gelliottmorris.com. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/ice-is-a-7...
Trump has made ICE a 70-30 issue — for Democrats
By using brutal force in public, ICE has given Democrats a chance to change how voters think about immigration policy. Will they take it?

I’m so excited for the first FCBD offering from Amp Comics, our continuation of the 80s staple Greatest American Hero, with a fantastic cover by David Mack! I can’t wait for people to be able to see this.

I would rather not cut off Medicaid or SS funding or FDA inspection just because the WH sucks.
Funding the government is treason at this point

Saw something similar (on a much smaller scale) last night in SF. A Nurse and Rabbi excellent speakers. DSA rep was cravenly trying to get signups and attacking Mayor Lurie. Not to mention being an arsonist returning to the ash pile of their efforts.
It’s the iron law of protests: the protests are good, most leaders are bad. Tonight’s leaders spent considerably more time denouncing Frey and Walz than Republicans, although to their credit, several of the speakers were laser focused on Trump, ICE, this admin, etc. That itself is significant.
The protest leaders are screaming denunciations at… Tim Walz

There needs to be a bunch of investigations of ICE in the next admin and people need to go to jail.

Do we?
Hakeem Jeffries talking in inarticulate circles on the Last Word tonight clearly demonstrates the need for new Dem leadership. We have the bench strength in the party to do so much better. We need strong messaging, a compelling plan and leaders able to inspire.

That would make it less likely for impeachment to actually happen.

Performative resistance will not help us.
File impeachment TODAY
File impeachment TOMORROW
File it every day until it succeeds

It was sadly clear a year ago this is what was going to happen. A lot of people said we were being dramatic.
we can’t make this website happen if people can’t stop being so goddamn unpleasant and mean

if we want to win a better world we do actually have to exemplify better
that's a lot of power users gone because of dogpiling. christ
