I'm dragging this photo over from the other place and pinning it here since it makes me laugh. This is from my morning commute on the CTA Blue Line in February 2020. My first sign that things were going to get really weird, really quickly, and stay that way.

I take a hand building "class" on Thurs nights but felt like throwing some mugs last week. The people in my class never throw so they asked why I made the mugs so big, and I said "they'll shrink", they clearly didn't believe me, but when I unwrapped them tonight, I was vindicated, they indeed shrank

I saw Tron when I was a kid, because my dad wanted to see Tron (I was nine when it came out). I remember thinking it was cool at the time, but I was nine. I remember watching it again in my 20s and thinking WTF? I don't understand how it is a thing either, but I'll give the soundtrack a listen.

Saw the Japanese movie Happyend at the Gene Siskel Film Center tonight, if you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it. Very prescient themes about surveillance, xenophobia, and governments using safety as an excuse for overreach and oppression.

I was wondering what happened to my city sticker as it has definitely been more than 10 business days since it was mailed and the deadline is coming up. I got an email from the city clerk's office that it was returned, and I have to pick it up. My address has not changed in five years.
