I like houseplants and ceramics. There will be cat pictures and typos.
Pinned
I'm dragging this photo over from the other place and pinning it here since it makes me laugh. This is from my morning commute on the CTA Blue Line in February 2020. My first sign that things were going to get really weird, really quickly, and stay that way.
Today's 20F degree temps felt absolutely balmy compared to last week.

Hi friends. These folks are fakers, report and block them. They seem to be pretending to be CCBF, who did such a good job ending money bail that they dismantled their own organization.

Oh, I got a text from the Jaime Andrade campaign and got to tell them exactly what I think of their obnoxious mailers.

I work with the 19-24-aged crowd for a living, so I am used to a certain level of immaturity, and some of it I find charming, but once in a while someone turns up in my office who is 20 going on 14, and it always takes me by surprise.

God may welcome all, but I don't.
I’m sorry but this block immediately following this skeet is hands down the funniest fucking thing I cannot

I am howling

The difference between calling for a strike, but not actually organizing one
Can confirm. Organizers stopped by our store 4 or 5 times ahead of last week's strike, starting about 10 days in advance.

Today's strike I first encountered via an IG post 2 days ago. No one's reached out at all.

Again, all power to the cause but last week's was the real deal.

I'm on the budget plan with People's Gas, and my bill just went DOWN $5 a month? I'll take it.

When Chicagoans say we don't want anything to do with this guy, this is what we mean.
BREAKING: A federal judge ordered former Mayor Emanuel to testify about allegations that a “code of silence” among CPD officers led to a botched 2018 raid of a Back of the Yards apartment that violated the civil rights of a family with 4 children — ages 4, 8, 11 and 13. @wttw.bsky.social

If this were me, I would frame this photograph, and it would be the first thing you'd see when you walked into my house.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

Way too many people really need a lesson on how to exit a crowded subway station during rush hour, I about lost my mind this morning trying to get out of the Washington Blue Line station

Naturally, the most upvoted comment I ever posted on Reddit was calling ICE hires dipshits.

This is some keystone cops bullshit. They really do hire the dumbest dudes on the planet.
In videos posted on social media, one employee can be heard saying: “This is the Ecuadorian consulate. You’re not allowed to enter.” The agent responds, “If you touch me, I’ll grab you.”
