Perhaps Berkeley could use another round of "Yoo Sucks" graffiti, as a reminder.

I assume that something like that was behind him showing up immediately to host The Charlie Kirk Show.

Meanwhile, clinical trials for heart disease have been defunded, it's like the circle of ... well, not life.

This guy thinks crudités require a pound of broccoli, a tub of prepackaged guacamole, and tequila, but all that costs too much because of Joe Biden. Numbers aren't his thing.

RFK will offer him a 650% discount on baby bear roadkill.

If you only read one of this trio, make it Life After Cars by @brooklynspoke.bsky.social & @sgoodyear.bsky.social.

It’s the most accessible and informative, as well as the most practical.

Windows peaked at XP service pack 2. I still run across embedded versions of that in all the strangest places.

One wonders whether Ed could say "acetaminophen" or "hydroxychloroquine" without some sort of wordplay, or he'd just default to "Tylenol®" or "bleach" like another old crank did.

🪧 #TwitpicTuesday rescue this week is a poster of a Roller Derby competition between a San Francisco team and a Brooklyn team. I had just moved (back) to San Francisco from Brooklyn and definitely felt conflicted ... about a sport I didn't even follow.

We used to be a proper city, with roller derby world championships in Golden Gate Park. This was just a block away from me and I had recently moved back from Brooklyn, so I had divided loyalties. "Li...

BART was unsullied by any known best practices when built, because everything in the Space Age was going to be handled by IBM mainframes (using punchcards).

Some best practices were retrofitted over the years, but there's not even a third track anywhere and thus no local/express service.

A few times in San Francisco, at the end of a performance, I've exited the venue to find that a bunch of people (using their phones while still seated) had hailed a flashmob of robotaxis. I happily bike away, or stroll off to a transit stop.

If the venue IS the transit stop, we've got big problems.

The issue I have with SNL is that they beat a joke into the ground, draining it of all mirth, seemingly to pad things out to 90 minutes.

Carol Burnett has always been the opposite, a master of comic timing. When things do got drawn out, it's because everyone including actors can't stop laughing.

You're from the Bronx but did you ever consider the struggle of Manhattanites who somehow occupied an entire floor of spacious units each with their own rooms? And never encountered a nonwhite person?

This missing piece of the explanation is the non-voters. These "red 'n' blue" percentages explain a vote but are not a proxy for populations.

"Non-voters" includes those who chose not to vote (for a variety of reasons, not one soundbite) and those whose votes were systematically suppressed.
