The diplomatic "achievement" of the ceasefire was to recalibrate the tempo of the genocide sufficiently to get it off the front pages and the news bulletins, thus alleviating the political pressure on Israel's western accomplices.

Met a woman walking through Tokyo last night, must have been a seamstress or something because she was holding a big pair of scissors. I think she asked me something but it was hard to make out from under her mask. I just said, “Sorry, I don’t speak Japanese!” and walked on. Hope she got home safe
