Didn't know this was niche. It was a common lesson in my evangelical childhood that not taking the cart back was failing at being an ambassador for Christ and saving souls from damnation. The Church must be so known for returning carts that heathens ask, "What could be the Source of such Goodness?"

Trump: "I don't know what could be worse than Portland. You don't even have stores anymore. They don't even put glass up. They put plywood on their windows."
Ever looked at a newborn babe and thought, Hey he looks like a formerly dead guy?
This is such an impressive level of New Testament audacity. In all my years in fundieland, never met a family bold enough to name their infant literally Lazarus. I can only assume - and fear - they are faith healers.
Sometimes you can't tell if a couple is Crunchy (Possibly Radical) Montessori Portlanders or Christian (Possibly Mormon) Pioneer Cosplay Trads until they call to their child named Lazarus.

The 82nd Airborne has faced a lot but has it ever faced combined arms? And by combined arms I mean tattoo sleeves AND ironic beards

The messages show high-level officials in the Trump administration discussing the possible deployment of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, an infantry force that has dropped into combat zones in both World Wars, Vietnam and Afghanistan.

It is weird that the assassination of essentially a celebrity influencer is a bigger deal than the shooting of two top state legislators + their spouses
I believe it. It seemed like for a brief period, evangelicalism was taken back by the purity movement backlash and sort of ...rebranded the same messages with less abrasive language. But that was a decade or more ago, and yeah the vicious anti-trans campaign has taken center stage since then.
I'm too anxious a person to have ever thought It Can't Happen To Me, but I'm more shocked than ever this happens at all to anyone.
I want to be wise and calm and strong for my husband because he has cancer and I am well, but really I'm just scared and sad and one second from screaming. It's unfair and it's impossible and it's just one small tragedy among a thousand massive crises.
It's truly 4chan for christians. Did the publishers think this was...edgy? Irreverent? Bold? Cool? I almost suspect it wouldn't be published today, or the descriptions would be softened, but I also don't read purity books anymore so who knows.
Wow, memory unlocked. That page was really saying the quiet part loud, huh? It really sounds unbelievable describing it now from the outside.

Am I experiencing burn out? Or is this just when I would have died naturally if not for science?
The top comment on a video of young Joan Baez performing a folk ballad. The song is 400 years old. Not sure we can blame the lass for inventing tragedy
